Finishes
Three, on every part
Raw
As it leaves the lathe. The tool marks are the finish. Bare aluminium darkens where it is held, and keeps darkening.
Brushed
Grain drawn along the axis by hand, then degreased. Fingerprints wipe off it. Scratches join the grain instead of crossing it.
Anodized
Twenty microns of oxide grown in a sulphuric bath, then coloured into the pores. Four colours, listed below.

Colour is deposited into the pores of a 20 micron oxide, so it is in the metal rather than on it. Anodizing adds €40 to a body, €14 to a cap, and about two grams either way.
